Hotel revenue report in WordPress: occupancy, nights sold, room revenue, ADR and RevPAR, by room type and by source

Your bookings already hold every number you need to run your property. The Reports module of Pandao Booking Pro adds them up the way hoteliers do, so you can see how a month went, how it compares with the same month last year, and which room types and booking sources pay off, without exporting anything to a spreadsheet first.

Occupancy, ADR and RevPAR at a glance

For the period you choose, the report shows:

  • Occupancy: the share of available nights you sold;
  • Nights sold, out of the nights available;
  • Room revenue: accommodation only, after discounts and without the tourist tax, for the nights in the period;
  • Average daily rate (ADR): room revenue divided by the nights sold;
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): room revenue divided by the nights available.

Amounts are shown without VAT, the way hotels compare them from one year to the next. One click shows them with VAT, and the report remembers your choice.

New to these figures? Our guide shows how to calculate RevPAR, ADR and occupancy, with a worked example.

By room type and by booking source

Each accommodation type gets its occupancy, nights, revenue and revenue per night, so you can see which rooms fill and which need a better price. The same figures by booking source show where your nights come from: your website, Airbnb, Booking.com and other platforms, phone, email, walk-ins or agencies.

Any period, and the last thirteen months

The current month opens by default. Pick a ready-made period, or any dates up to two years apart. The last thirteen months sit side by side, so this month appears next to the same month last year, and this month's figures also appear on your booking dashboard. The report also counts the bookings made and cancelled in the period, the average booking lead time and the average length of stay.

How nights and revenue are counted

  • Confirmed bookings only, counted night by night: a stay across two months counts in each.
  • Revenue is split across nights in proportion to their prices, so a stay that spans two months is split fairly, discounts included.
  • Stays imported from Airbnb, Booking.com and other platforms count as nights sold. Enter the amount on each one: without it, they count in occupancy but not in the average daily rate, and add nothing to RevPAR.

Exports for your spreadsheet

Download the bookings of a period, and your guest list, as CSV files that open straight in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets, with the separators your language expects. Each booking shows its total and the VAT it includes. Cells that could run as formulas are neutralised, so a guest name can't trigger anything in your spreadsheet.

Who sees the reports

Reports are for managers: administrators and booking managers see them; front desk staff keep the booking calendar, without the revenue figures.

Hotel revenue reports: common questions

Do I need a separate analytics tool?

Not for your bookings. The reports work from the bookings on your site. Website traffic (visits, sources of visitors) still belongs in an analytics tool.

Are the figures with or without VAT?

Without VAT by default, as hotels and revenue management tools count them, so a change of VAT rate doesn't distort your comparisons. Switch to amounts with VAT whenever you prefer: the tourist tax is never counted, since you collect it for your local authority.

Are cancelled bookings counted?

They count among the bookings made in the period, but not in revenue, occupancy or the averages.

Do I need Pandao Booking Pro for reports?

Yes. Reports are a module of Pandao Booking Pro, which works with Pandao Booking, the free WordPress hotel booking plugin.
